Privacy Policy

Automa is a company that seeks solutions to make energy companies more efficient and better, transforming this market, offering services in the areas of power system operation, substation control and protection, digital solutions, engineering services and solar plant digitalisation.

Acting with transparency and observing the laws in force in our country are values of our company. For this reason, in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (no. 13,709/2018) and the Internet Civil Framework (no. 12,965/2014), we issue our Privacy Policy, where you will find how we treat your data and information.

If you have questions about how we operate or about the way we process data, you may send an e-mail to [email protected].

Terms and Definitions

To make the reading of our Privacy Policy easier, we believe it is important that you are familiar with some terms widely used on this subject, such as those below:

  • Data subject: the person to whom the processed data refers
  • Personal data: information that identifies or may identify a person, e.g. name, taxpayer number, etc.
  • Data processing: everything we can do with the data, e.g. collection, storage, sharing, etc.
  • Sensitive personal data: data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions and religious or philosophical beliefs, genetic and biometric data, and data related to the data subject's health.

Data Processing and its Purposes

We at Automa may process data in order to carry out our activities.

Internally, we process the data of our employees and service providers for the possible performance of contracts and compliance with legislation. We also carry out access control at our premises, which involves processing data of visitors and service providers, with the collection and storage of data such as name, identity document, telephone number and image (photo); this processing takes place so that we can ensure greater security.

On our institutional website, we process data as follows:

Data provided by you

If you wish to join our team, you may send us your CV to [email protected]. To make selection easier, you may include the job code in the e-mail subject. It is important to remember that your CV will be kept in our database for a maximum period of one (1) year, and afterwards permanently deleted.

On our website you will have the opportunity to learn a little more about our company, our values and the way we work. We take care to provide channels for you to contact us, including a field to send your questions or a contact request through the site. For that, through the available options, you will need to give us your name, e-mail, telephone number, the department you wish to reach and your message.

Through the Social Impact option you will be directed to the Sommar Project page, where you will have the following options:

  • a) express interest in becoming a student, by filling in a pre-selection form with the following information: full name; telephone number; date of birth; whether you have any special needs; full name of the public school attended; which school year the student will attend; your assessment of the current teaching; name of the father, mother or legal guardian; telephone number of the father, mother or legal guardian; guardian's e-mail address; city and state of residence; whether you have broadband internet; whether you have a mobile phone or tablet for the classes; whether a computer is available — we remind you that the data will only be used to assess the student's participation in the Project and, if the candidate is selected, for the appropriate contact and verification with parents and/or guardians.
  • b) Become a Partner: if you are interested in partnering with us on this project, we can get in touch with you; for that we will need your data (name, e-mail, telephone number, message) to establish contact.
  • c) Visit our little shop: as a way of raising funds for the Sommar Project, we will soon make our products available for sale on the site. If you already want to get in touch, just fill in the form with your data (name, e-mail, telephone number) — it will be a pleasure to talk to you!

Data provided indirectly

On our website we use tools such as cookies to improve your browsing experience. Remember that you can configure them — and it is important to know that essential/necessary cookies are fundamental for our page to work.

In compliance with article 15 of the Internet Civil Framework, the internet application provider will store the date, time and IP address of accesses for a maximum of 6 months.

Data sharing

We value your privacy and security. For this reason, here at Automa we do not sell your data. We only process the data necessary to carry out our activities, sharing it solely with third parties who need it to perform their own activities. We may also use your information and data in the event of legal proceedings or in cases based on applicable law.

On Security

We are a company that seeks, through its work, to help transform the world. The protection of your data and information security are therefore values of our company, and we undertake to adopt security, technical and administrative measures capable of protecting personal data from unauthorised access and from accidental or unlawful situations, as set out in article 46 of the General Data Protection Law. However, the virtual environment is not always entirely safe: every online access, despite security protocols, is subject to cyberattacks by hackers. If an incident is identified, we undertake to:

  • a. Identify the security incident and assess it;
  • b. Establish a plan to contain damages;
  • c. Inform the affected data subjects;
  • d. Assess the need to inform the National Data Protection Authority.

And in cases caused by third parties, it is important to point out that we are not responsible for:

  • a. Any consequences arising from the user's own fault in relation to their data;
  • b. Malicious actions by third parties, such as hacker attacks, except in the case of negligent or deliberate conduct by Automa;
  • c. Untruthfulness of the information entered by the user, since any consequences arising from false information or information entered in bad faith are entirely the user's responsibility.

Rights of Data Subjects

As shown so far, we value your security and your privacy, and we seek to be honest and transparent about how we treat your data and information. Therefore, if you wish to exercise any of your rights listed in article 18 of the LGPD, or if you have questions about the data processing we carry out, you may send an e-mail to [email protected]. Below we list some of your rights as a data subject:

Updates to the Privacy and Cookie Policy

We will make updates and changes to our privacy policy whenever necessary — after all, you need to know how your data is treated by us.

We have finally reached the end. We hope you have had a great experience learning more about how we look after your privacy.

But remember: if you have questions or further remarks, you can send an e-mail created especially to assist you, at [email protected].
